November 2018 - La Fortuna, Costa Rica

November 4-7, 2018

What a wonderful time we had on our first Sojourn research trip! After an adventurous morning of travel, we landed in the shadow of beautiful Arenal Volcano in the small town of La Fortuna. Thankfully, the many hours spent researching would provide us our ideal scenario...a very personal and meaningful connection with the orphanage we planned on supporting as well as a myriad of opportunities to experience a range of eco-activities minutes from where we were staying.

The La Fortuna Orphanage was everything we hoped it would be...bright, clean, joyful and safe...the children there were happy and well cared for and it was definitely a place we were confident we could partner with for years to come.

For the remaining daylight hours of our trip, we ventured down to beautiful pools below magnificent waterfalls, we climbed up to the canopies of the rainforests on hanging bridges suspended in mid air and we saw abundant and beautiful wildlife everywhere we looked.

Back at our incredible lodgings, we enjoyed relaxing evenings over delicious dinners and reflected on our feel-good days spent giving back. We are thrilled to share this experience with you and are looking ahead to our inaugural Sojourn Foundation adventure in the Fall of 2019! Come grow your Sojourn Soul with us!
